The owner-managed group based in Germany is strengthening its leadership team as part of a planned leadership transition. As part of a strategic realignment, former COO Diogo Llorente has taken on the role of Director of Operations Portugal, with a stronger focus on the Portuguese market. The COO position was designed as a temporary assignment, during which he played a key role in advancing the optimisation of the company’s support structures. At the same time, he remained in charge of SIHOT Portugal.

Florian Eckert brings extensive experience from the IT, telecommunications and consulting sectors and has a proven track record in managing complex transformation programmes. At Deutsche Telekom IT, he held a key role overseeing international programmes involving several hundred employees, driving innovation initiatives and shaping large-scale organisational development.

In his new role at SIHOT, Florian Eckert is responsible for the operational management of the company. His focus is on further professionalising internal processes, expanding international activities and consistently aligning the organisation with the needs of the hospitality industry. Given the increasing demands for digitalisation, integration and efficiency across the sector, this role is of particular importance.
